Abstract
The operation of IP routers is determined by their configuration files. Currently configuration files of routers in the Internet are mainly changed via a command line interfaces. This creates the potential for many inconsistenc ies within a single router configuration file as well as across router configuration files. Netdb extracts relevant information from such router configuration files into its internal data model and then performs consistency checks and policy checks against its internal database. In addition netdb allows browsing and searching of the network configuration data.
