  • PRAWN: The Prawn (Prototyping Architecture for Wireless Networks) Project aims at providing an easy-to-use developing environment for rapid prototyping of wireless network protocols and applications.
Projects where I was involved
  • AGAVE: The AGAVE Project is investigating a range of Traffic Engineering techniques to realise the concept of Network Planes.
  • WIP: The WIP Project targets an all wireless mobile network architecture. This includes designing, implementing, and experimentally validating an all-wireless interconnection architecture based on advanced wireless transmission techniques.
  • Gigacom: The Gigacom Project is deploying a heteregeneous wireless network which covers the east part of Paris. The platform is meant to deliver triple-play service (Internet+TV+Voice) but also to offer Internet connectivity through Mesh technology in some particular parts of Paris.
  • RNRT-INFRADIO : The RNRT-INFRADIO Project was targeting the deployment of a communication sphere, of variable size, spontaneous, built on a mesh of radio routers based on WLAN technology, equipped with appropriate security policies and administration's tools. A demo network based on my own design and implemented with the help of other partners is still running in the LIP6 lab.

OpenLISP
  • OpenLISP - OpenLISP is an open source implementation in the FreeBSD kernel of the LISP protocol. Further information on the available release can be found on the INL website.
Simulation
  • Auto Rate Fallback (ARF) Algorithm for NS-2 - Implementation of the ARF rate adaptation algorithm for NS-2 version 2.26. To implement the algorithm I have also enhanced the wireless physical interface to model 802.11b cards, with rates up to 11Mbps and different tx ranges for different tx-rate. In particular I referred to the data sheets of old Cisco Aironet 350 Wireless Cards See the README file in the archives for more information. Click here for a screenshot of what you can obtain. Old Stuff
  • As a final project to achieve my "Laurea" I implemented the MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) protocol. This code runs on FreeBSD 4.2. Here you can find a description of the implementation and some measurements results, while Here you can download the complete package.
